Booking your Flight and Hotel

Booking your Flight and Hotel
Immersion2026 will take place on March 10th to March 12th, 2026 at the Four Points by Sheraton Kansas City Airport hotel
in Kansas City, Missouri.
Please note there are two cities in the Midwest located close to each other, both with the words “Kansas City” in them.

  • One of them is in Kansas City, Missouri. This is the place where Immersion2026 will take place. You should book your flight into this city.
  • The other one is Kansas City, Kansas. You should shun and ignore this city. We are not having the event here.

Booking your airfare

There are two airports in Kansas City:

  • Kansas City International Airport – the one you should fly into
  • Kansas City Wheeler Downtown Airport – the one you should ignore and NOT fly into

This is the airport you should fly into: Kansas City International Airport. The code for this airport is MCI.

Let me state it again, even more clearly:
Please do not fly into any other airport than Kansas City International Airport.

There is a free shuttle and the hotel where we are having the event, the Sheraton Four Points, is located close to Kansas City International Airport. If you chose to fly into another airport, the free shuttle to the hotel will not be available, and you will be considerably further away from the hotel where we are having the event.

The check-in time for the hotel is 3 PM CT, and we are having a welcome event on March 10th, 2026 at 5 PM CT.
Immersion2026 will end on March 12th, 2026 at 1 PM CT. The check out time is 11 AM CT.

Booking your hotel room

The name of the hotel where we are having Immersion2026 is the Four Points by Sheraton Kansas City Airport. It is located at 11832 NW Plaza Cir, Kansas City, MO 64153. There is a free shuttle from MCI airport (see above) to this hotel.

By purchasing a ticket to Immersion2026, you agree to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Kansas City Airport in order to fulfill the room block requirement. If you chose not to, and as a result we are unable to fulfill the room block requirement, you may be billed for the cost of a hotel room for two nights.

Cost Transparency

As the evangelist for the Transparent Advisor Movement, I hold myself to the same standards of transparency to which I hold others in the industry.

Here is the revenue vs. cost breakout for Immersion2025.

As you can see, there was a gross profit of $3,510.91 for Immersion2025.

A few items to note:

  • This is higher than the Immersion2024 gross profit of $372.18.
  • I want to state clearly that it is not, and has never been, my intention to make a profit from any Transparent Advisor Movement activities. The goal of the movement is to improve treatment of families in our country. I love Jesus Christ and I exist to serve Him, I love my family, I love my country, and I love other people’s families in our country as well.
  • Early bird tickets were as low as $250 per ticket, which is much lower than any other in-person industry event I know of.
  • I have retained this $3,510.91 as a safeguard to protect me against cost overruns that might potentially occur at future Immersion events, and I also invested part of it into two websites solely dedicated to this movement, the costs totaling $1515.21.
  • In the expenses I did not include billing for any of my own professional time. I would estimate that this event consumed more than 20 hours of my time in 2025. My professional consulting rate is $500 per hour. Essentially I contributed $10,000 of pro-bono work, none of which was reflected in the income statement above. If I had included this expense, the event would have generated a roughly $7,000 net loss.

If anybody has questions or feels any of this is unfair, I’d be happy to discuss. Email us at katie@transparentfinancialadvisor.com

Below is the cost breakout for Immersion2024 which took place in March 2024. As you can see, there was a small surplus. It was my intention to return any surplus to the group. However, at the event, it was decided unanimously by the group that I could retain any surplus instead of going through the effort of dividing it up into equal parts amongst the registrants. As a note, I did not include any of my personal expenses and there were several Transparency Movement expenses that the Immersion benefitted from that were not included here as well (as those were sunk costs).

We will conduct a vote at Immersion2026 to determine what will be done with any potential surplus, as we did in prior Immersion events.
